I am very happy that I was FINALLY able to get below that 190 threshold and into a new set of numbers! My original goal was 175 but currently happy to be in the 180s (fluctuate between 185 and 188) right now. I have to say that between the Chemical Balance Diet and doing Manny's Fitness Camp not only have I dropped the weight, but I have also gained some muscle and endurance! I am really proud to be where I am physically, not only weight wise but also the amount of working out that I have been doing. It's a long way from being 240+ lbs and not having any sort of physical activity this time last year.
Talking about working out. On top of working out at the Y, I have ventured into bootcamp territory and I have to say that I LOVE IT! Manny's Fitness Camp has really pushed me physically, challenging what I thought I could do and showing me what I can actually do physically. When I started the bootcamp...I was not able to do regular push-ups...I did knee push-ups of about 60...now I am doing 42+ regular push-ups and 60+ situps! On top of that...I was never a runner. For my first fitness test, we had to run 1.5 miles...YES ONE and a HALF MILES! I have never done anything like that before. On my first fitness test I had to run/walk (mostly walk) the 1.5 miles and I did it in just under 19 minutes. NOW I am running the full 1.5 miles in 15 minutes or less...still struggling but finding the stride and learning to love running. Yes I have to say I am really proud of myself for keeping up with all of Manny's bootcamp antics!
Moving forward, I am going to continue working on the physical appearance of my body. After going to Mexico and seeing some really awesome bodies...I want my to be there too! So I am continuing with Manny's Fitness Camp and also increasing my workout at the Y. Hopefully between those physical activities and watching what I eat, it will get me to that place where I want to be physically. Here's to hoping that I get there before my one year anniversary of my road to wellness...also know as the road from Flab to Fab (January 17)!
Thanks again for all the support and listening to my ramblings.
